A double spatial autoregressive structure: application to the analysis of the municipal unemployment in Andalucía
This paper analyzes the structure of spatial dependence of the residues of a regression model. We propose a new specification that catches, in two different levels, the spatial dependence, adding a new autoregressive cycle in the errors of the SAR model. The inference problems of the parameters are solved by means of maximum likelihood estimation. The model is confirmed by an empirical application in the analysis of the municipal unemployment in the region of Andalucía in Spain.
