Romania ca be considered one of the most atractive touristic places in Europe, due to its particularly variated potential for tourism, its favorable climate and its valuable historical and cultural heritage. The Romanian tourism development perspectives can be aproached only considering the transition to the market economy and the European integration. Within this framework we can support the idea that the tourism is a priority for the Romanian economy. We are presenting the main ways of development for the main tourism products and services as the mountain resort modernisation, development of the seaside tourism together with the rural tourism supply, demand and supply estimation and also Romanian involvement in European projects.
